Christine Decker
Art historian and gemmologist, I am a sworn expert in antique jewellery in Luxembourg. I work for private clients, professionals and the courts.
The daughter of an antique dealer, I learned the trade in my father’s shop, where I have worked since 2016 on sales, purchases and the valuation of antiques. I then spent several years in London with a well-known antique jewellery dealer, where I examined pieces from every period, every day.
Today I take part in cataloguing and assessing jewellery for a Luxembourg auction house. In 2026 I was the jewellery expert of an antiques and art fair in Luxembourg, checking the pieces and their documents before the opening.
A graduate of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, I also studied art history in London, at the Courtauld Institute of Art.
I work in Luxembourgish, French, German, English and Hungarian.
